Marty, I know it was a while ago but I still wanted to thank you for your assistance. I was the one you helped out while in Jims bait and Tackle in cape may during the Mid500. You reasured me that what I was doing with the ballyhoo was correct just to tweek it a little bit. Any way I took your advice and boated a white and released two others the next day. Any way I just wanted to express my gratitude and you run a great thread here that I read freaquently. Thanks again and nice to formally meet you in person. Keep up the good work!!
Ya your right. I didn't ask for his advice he just heard me and my buddy talking about an idea I had and he came over and asked if he could help. I recognized him and introduced myself and told him i love his forum. He didn't just help me out but it was also in the middle of the biggest tourny in the country which we where both a part of. Stand up guy!
Thats what Im talking about! DOESNT GET ANY BETTER THAN THAT! How many guys are going to loosen their lip in the SAME TORUNAMENT that he is fishing in. Now THAT is a class act move Box man. Cudos on that one.
Many years ago I took a cushion from my boat into this little canvas shop to see if it was repairable. The guy told me it would take him about 20 minutes, and sat me at his computer to watch fishing vids while completed the fix- then wouldn't let me pay him a dime for it. I didn't find out until I got on sfc years later that it was Marty. Pretty Solid guy in my book as well.
