Help a flounder have a nice day

This Saturday is the 3rd annual Flat Bottom Girls flounder Tourney in Wrightsville Beach, check out www.fishfortomorrow.org. This is a guaranteed money event where all the fish must be brought to the scales live. Last year we had a $1000.00 first prize and paid out through 10 places. The event is fished out of Dockside Marina with all the details on the fishfortomorrow website. I fished last year before the tourney with Peter Wright and they did a show that ended up on the Sportsman's Channel showing what we are trying to do for NC flounder. It is a great even even if you don't fish we keep the fish alive on the dock at dockside swimming around!

Thanks Box. This is a local deal with the money going to build artificial reefs locally and work with the kids at the S.Brunswick county high school hatchery. We got at good start this year dumping concrete pipe and all sorta reef goodies this season. The kids also let loose there first batch last year, about 1000 Lil guys. When sponsors donate the prize money all the teams monies go direct to the cause. Just found out $1000 1st guaranteed with payouts through 10th.

Tim Barefoot actually called me today. He is pumped up for another great event. Last year I organized a King tournament in Morehead to benefit FFT and our club. This year I am not as involved, but FFT is a great cause that will benefit the flounder fishery in NC for years to come.
