for insurance purposes.

I've got Banannas
I know around Annapolis MD you will pay around 500.00 for a 25' boat, they charge per foot.

killing stuff cause it feels good
SOme. will argue, but I maintain it is far from a money racquet.
THe insurance company is looking to see what type of risk your boat is, as well as a value in its current condition.
THey are also looking to see if the boat is in compliance with USCG Requirements and ABYC and NFPA recommendations. A good surveyor will show you things about your boat you did not know, educate you in the process, and who knows, may even find something that will save you money on a future repair or more importantly save your life.
On average an insurance renewal condition and valuation survey will run 14 to 18 per foot depending on the area. Be sure that your surveyor is either NAMS Cetrified or SAMS accredited.
I am working in NC next week, I would be glad to talk with you further about any of this.
