    Heavens above...

    Thought some of you might like this...Canon Rebel XS camera hooked up to my 6" telescope on a equatorial mount...the reddish color (middle one) is from the conversion to JPEG...it needs some more work but I'm pretty happy with it for my first go round...

    Heck yeah thats Mickey...

    M42 is the name of the nebula in the Orion constellation...the "M" designates it as a Messier object...the number is the identifier...its not really "power" based...the focal length of the scope is 1500mm...so its basically a huge telephoto lense...if I converted it to power roughly it would be around 150x to 175x...

    Jupiter: interesting note...the round spot at the bottom of Jupiter is one of its moons casting a shadow on the planet...


    Full Moon: this one is 15,600 photo's stacked and stitched...missed a few spots...


    Cresent Moon: 1500 photo's stacked and stitched
