    HE WALKED ON WATER

My great uncle Lewis, 80 years young, called me nine days ago and asked me if I would take him fishing. I did a double take. This man Captained a 200+ foot Menhaden boat in the Gulf of Mexico for half his life. He has killed more ducks and geese with a double barrel than the avian flue. He carves waterfowl that cannot be bought for less than five figures and wins competitions regularly. He is also the kindest man I have ever known. Tough? That don't even describe it. In the midst of several outings fishing over the last several days and many reports and pics waiting to be posted. This day was the most special to me. Here is a little video and a few pics of our day. His Tog was 27 inches, made my biggest of the day(24") look small. We released more trout before daylight than I could count. I managed to snap a few pics after the sun cracked. Here is a brief video and a song that suits the way I feel about my great uncle Lewis. Enjoy

God bless him. I just turned 60 this month and if I have 20 more years of fishing in me I'll die a happy camper.

    Great story, Geoff.

Good seeing you in OE2 as well. The Captain is getting big.

Care to share which "local caisson" that was? NNMG, TS, or WT?
