Hatteras Inlet 8/26 Sorry for the quality of the pics

Sorry for the late report. fished with a buddy on his new 22' Nautistar out of HI. Ran up to the DS Tower with lines in at 7:30am. Small blackfin was the first fish of the day. released to grow some more. 15 minutes later a double hook up of sails. two releases, the first ever for my buddy. Trolled up the line and saw two whites jumping but no love. Continued up the line about an hour later saw birds working and found 12 to 15 sails mauling a baitball. Looked like something off of blueplanet. Caught and released two sails before they all disappeared. Found a float with bait under it and caught two nice skipjacks for the table. Had to snatch them away from the huge sharks that were circling below.Smooth ride home to Teach's Lair. Filled out our release citations and drove back to Raleigh. Pretty weather and large amounts of leatherback turtles and jellies out there on a tide line. saw some bailers out there but did not mess with them. Sitting at Nags Head now waiting for the weather to break. Tight Lines.

    The one that got away!
Awesome!! I've just been watching the wind blow! I love the amount of life you normally encounter when fishing up off the OI and HI..
