Hatteras end of April?

Hey guys,
My wife and I are looking at taking a vacation to Hatteras the end of April, but are trying to figure out if everything is open by then or not. I'm sure I can find somethign to fish for...but my wife, mom, and baby need some entertainment, too. Any idea what the beach water temps are then?

The water temps will vary depending on winds mainly direction S SW winds will raise the temps N NE winds will keep it cool. The temps should be in the 53-65 degree range but can and will change daily. There should be fish around by then sea mullet, puffers, blues, drum all are possible from the beach. Offshore fishing should be good by then. The beaches should be open but the pre-nesting closures will be starting around the middle of April if I remember correctly, but there will still be places you can drive out to or walk to. The best fishing will probably be from Buxton south. Most of the shops, restaurants, hotels etc. that close for the winter usually open up by the first of April.

We run a charter boat out of Hatteras Landing Marina right by the ferry docks and if you are looking to hop on a boat we do walk ons ALL THE TIME. But if you are looking to bring your boat or fish from shore I will gladly help you in that area as well....Give me a call I will do my best to put ya on some pullage either way!
