Although I wont be headed down till wednesday, I have heard some great reports coming in from hatteras in the past week. Fish have been consistent, and today the fish showed up bigger and in better numbers. Today while approximately 40-50 boats fished commercially, 20 fish were weighed. More significantly, the charter fleet was able to catch and release a good number of fish as well. Several 90+'' fish were caught and some 90+''ers were weighed. They are here fellas, get on it. We got alot of quota to make up and a lot of fish to catch, else we lose it alltogether. The bite today was off ocracoke about 10 miles south of the inlet in 59 degree water. This might be the year to bail them on the wrecks at hatteras. It hasnt happened in a few years, but I'm praying for this one.
