Hatteras 6/12-6/19

Just got back from my families first trip to hatteras with our boat. What a Week!! Released my first Blue marlin, caught it on a TLD25 and a crystal islander with a horse hoo stand up. after battling that fish for an hour and a half i have a new respect for those giants. the dolphin bite was as good as i thought it would be On the way down dad and i talked about how we hoped to fish 3 days we ended up fishing 5 out of the 6 days we were down. The weather and fishing couldnt have been any better what a blast. as soon as i unpack the camera i will upload some pics. Wow that blue was something else he stripped about 400 yards of line off that reel in seconds i caught and released it on thursday and my arm is still sore as hell.

Congrats on your fish! Catching a blue on a 25 is quite an accomplishment I think. Looking forward to seeing your pics. How far out were you?

Sunday monday and tuesday we fished about 13miles past the rock pile. Then thursday the day we caught the blue we were an amazing 19 miles off the beach south east of the light tower.
