Fished last weekend and yesterday.

Last Saturday...

Started off on the 160 just below the wrecks. Pretty choppy. Fished our way down to the rockpile in 40-60 fathoms of water. Ended up with 4 tunas, a wahoo and plenty o fatties. Best of it was just north of the rockpile around the 100 line. Very scattered fish. One boat pulled back in the middle of a school of gaffers and commenced to workin on them. Finished that school up and put her in gear only to have 6 go down with tunas. Landed all of them and caught 4 more the rest of the day. Nice hour of fishing!!! That was by far the best of it!

Yesterday...

Not real pretty water out there. Green, blended stuff. Not bad looking tuna water, but not a whole lot to it really. Pretty slow in fact. Fished out, and I do mean OUT in the deep lookin for a jesus float knowing it hadn't been much to it the day before up and down the beach. Got out to over 1000 fathoms before we found the warm water. Went from 71.5 to 75.2, but it was pretty lifeless. LOTS of current in it. 4+ knots. Put the plugs out and chugged in to the rockpile late in the afternoon. Managed 2 YF's and a nice blackfin along with several kings. Had 2 or 3 more nice tuna bites but ended up pulling them off draggin them trying to get more bites. Had a wahoo bite off as well. Oh well, real nice out there yesterday. Made up for the slow fishing. 3 or 4 tunas, a hand full of dolphin and a wahoo or two was the best I heard of. Looking forward to the water getting right out there. Wont be too long and the gaffers and maaalins will go ta snappin
