OH HELL YEA, LOOKS NICE AND SIMPLE AND NEAT, how many would you make for any given trip. and if you dont mind, the size weight and hook style... i know im a pain in the ass...
FOR LATE OCTOBER....DAVE I HAVE 30 RIGS MADE COMPLETE WOITH LURES...AND ANOTHER THIRTY WITH THE JUST HOOKS ATTACHED.....AND THE REST OF THE 2 LB SPOOL OF PIANO IS PRECUT AND STORED IN POWDER
A 2LB COIL OF PIANO WILL MAKE APPX 100-104 18FT LEADERS
LOOKS LIKE IT IS GOING TO BE NICE WEATHER FRIDAY AND NO ONE WANTS TO GO OFFSHORE
Another nice tip Box. I precut my leaders, but twist the loop end because I don't have enought 7731's to store the way you do. Then I drop the lure and rig the hook when I'm changeing them out.
Quick question do you prefer the free swinging hook or stiff rigged?
Great stuff. I like the idea of the long leaders and they worked for the wahoos around here for the short time they were here in NJ. I do have a question about storing them. Why powder? I know this is not for corrosion resistance so for what then? Also, what kind of can, or container do you store them in?
If Ignorance is bliss, Why aren't more people happy?

Piano wire is not stainless - storing in talc or baby powder will keep them from rusting.
Piano wire is at best a single day leader - more like single fish... by storing them in a coffee can, you can quickly swap out your hot lure to a new leader between bites. The tag ends will poke holes in plastic bags - a coffee can - the plastic ones are great for this - won't get holes poked in it.
