    Hand Care?

After handling brined bait all day what do you guys use to treat you hands?? I'm sure Box has some special treatment since he probally handles more bait then most! I try to wash them with fresh water between re-rigging to no avail. My skin becomes very tight the next day and the skin around the nails feels like it's on fire. I have tried every hand lotion I have and can't get any relief. Aloe, Vaseline intesive care and even ole Corn Huskers which leaves me feeling like I've got 90w on my hands. Any suggestions??

Years ago an old commercial fisherman turned me onto Bag Balm. Stuff works great on hands that take abuse all day long. This product was originally developed for dairy farmers to use on the irritated udders of their cows. It has an antiseptic which kills bacteria that can lead to fish poisoning which is always a concern for me.

BAG BALM!!! Do it, it's the best.....if it's good enough for a cow's nipple, it's good enough for me.

Back when I was commercial fishing my hands would split. I used cornhusker's during the day, because it absorded quickly. The at night rub them down good with bag balm and put gloves or sock's over your hand's when you get to bed. Nothing beat the salt water a 100 %, but it helped. Frank
