This is going to be short and sweet since I'm am BEAT after today....
First Gulf Stream trip of the year for myself and 4 buddies today on a 35' Triton named the "Frick'n Fishin'" with triple Verado 250's.
Started off on the break we saw this morning at the Swansboro Hole. Marked NO bait and no bites so we headed to the south. It was a VERY sloooooow morning but finally found a few fish around 2:30 or so way to the south.
Got covered up by blackfins and boated about 10 or so. Threw most of them back and ran the hell away from them looking for wahoos and yellowfins. Finally found the wahoos late in the afternoon and ended up with 3 real quality fish to go with the blackfins.
Water temperature was 74, scattered grass, no bait. Persistance pays off![]()
Tight lines!
