A couple of weeks ago the bride and I went down to Perdido Key to spend a few days with our good friends Pat and Joanna. Pat is my buddy that i fish the Emerald Coast Bill Fishing tournament with. of course we didn't get to fish it this year because of the oil spill. He moved his boat to San Destin to get it farther away from the spill. We were hoping that they might open up an area close enough for us to run to. They opened up an area while we were there but it would have been a 90 mile run. a little far for shits and giggles in a 68' viking.
After we were at the condo a couple of days he had his captain, Matt, come pick us up in Perdido and bring us to San Destin to spend a little time on the boat and to spend the night on it in San Destin.
i brought along some shrimp and deer sausage. we set the grill up and you would know it...no gas in the bottle. Libby's sister and her kids and grand kids were staying close and they came to check out the boat. after showing them around for a bit .........5 grand kids under 4 years old......they were a little wound up and left after about an hour.
Matt says the grill is ready.....i don't ask any questions and start grilling the deer sausage. when i get some ready, Matt takes a couple of links and says he is taking two boats over. that is where he got the bottle of gas. The boat he borrowed the propane from was "The Ole Miss". My paparazzi pictures are below. can you guess who is in the white T-shirt?
there are a few more pictures of the beach from the condo and the Tipster taking a ride in the cockpit.
