Does anyone have the offsets for the gird 9960 and the 27000 and the 39000 tds.I had them in my other gps unit but it died. The off sets I need are off the MHC area.

27000 -3.5
39000 -2.1
measured @ Knuckle Bouy
These offsets are using Garmin software. It's my understanding that the new Furuno Nav Net units (software) have offsets built in-- but not sure.
Always best to verify on your own unit.

I guess Capt Ray is starting to dream about May!
We function with GPS but it seems that most folks are running on Loran... Could someone elaborate on the advantages of one over the other???? Seems like Glenn could give some details!

So when will folks start giving their position in GPS instead of saying i'm on the 550 in 40 fathoms??? Note that I'm not asking for the depth in METERS!!!!
MM
Just an observation, It is much easier to give a position with LORAN TDs - a line and a depth gives you a pretty solid position - ie: 580 in 35 fa is much easier than 34'10.620"N, 76'9.500"W - but both will put you on the corner of the rock
My Furuno does translate Lat/Lon to LORAN - not accurate enough for bottom fishing, but perfectly fine for trolling.
Thanks Glen for the help.
Yea Glen thats it -3.5 and -2.1 Iput the cursor on some spots I had and it was only a tenth of a microsecond off.I found a bunch of old oyster rks in loran.Trying to find Trey a few new rocks to work on.I showed him my old loran A the other day.He said where did that TV come from.I just lol and said electronics have came a long way baby.Once again thanks
