Cockpit Monkey In Training
Gottafly Albie shots (from a patron)
Jim Cole here, shots from 10/24, Capt. Lee can't post from Harkers for some reason. Tough winds, "Chamber of Commerce" fish, but patience, and even one well attended bird can produce hookups without busting fish. Over a dozen landed, doubles, many lost due to my preference for "no drag" as opposed to "some drag"........how do they bust 20lb anyway? If the shots screw up, my apologies, I'll try again. Nice fishies. (can't tell if shots are here)
Capt. Lee's reminders to "move rod tip" to impart motion in the fly when overtaking slack from moving boat, as opposed to trying to strip in the slack, was real important stuff......better to pull in a big fish, than a wad of line with a stagnant fly at the end of it. The reminder to roll cast the flyline aloft for another quick replacement, as opposed to trying to sweep it out of the water, was critical to short lived opportunities. Thanks again, Captain Lee
