THANKS for all the heads up guys....knew you boys could help me out!

Govt needs to recruit you boys to find Bin Laden.....@#$% youre good!!

I agree this style is awesome! Just sexy looking for a pocket battlewagon. I agree with many of you on the outboard issue though. I wanna put a single screw or maybe a couple small diesels. Looked at the IPS and Zeus drives also.

Can you do a single screw with IPS though. The drive would go straight thru the keel....wonder if that would cause problems?

Trying to get in touch with Mr Hudson now to go look at her. Thanks again fellows!!

Keep it simple ACE. Put a single diesel in it. I understand the efficiency and simplicity argument for outboards...What's the point of building one from the ground up to do that though? The boat deserves the hum of a single screw diesel. You didn't take this route to save a few thousand bucks anyway...you choose this route because it will give your new ride character. What kinda character does twin Suzuki outboards add to such a classic looking boat? Really?
Nothing against outboards or Suzuki either. Just sayin....she needs to sound as good as she'll look. MNSHO.

PM me and I will put you in touch with him. If you haven't started construction you may also consider speaking with his brother, James who is a boat builder of sorts. I think he's built 10 or 12 over the years....his recent being the 58' Best Yet docked at Hatteras Marlin Club.

Don't know if you can do single screw IPS or not. Would probably take some interesting engineering to get it done. As flat as Carolina Style boats are at the stern though, it probably could. The performance would be incredible though. If you haven't seen the youtube video of the SeaVee 39 with IPS, you should. It i amazing what those things can do.
