I think i saw mark from canyon runner was out there.. got some bluefin action but nothign crazy.. dont know if it is the same body of water but believe it is what he was talking about.

Man, if I saw that in late May or early June I would be hightailing it out there for yellowfins. This time of year, I'm sure there is plenty of life but no yellerfins....maybe some smaller bluefins, but I would honestly be a bit surprised at that. Probably bait, whales, false albacore, etc.
New to the whole offshore thing, any care to explain in what exactly I am looking for? I assume that at the biggest differneces in temp that is where the fish are supposed to be? Thanks for the help.
The labrador current is pushing hard against the gulfstream. It has pushed this warm core eddie in towards the canyons. It is swirling in a counterclockwise rotation pushing the warm water south. It is setting up a huge break right on the 1000 fathom line. Once you hit about 700 fathoms at about 38 12: 73 24 you are going to get hit in the face with fog and humid air. The water will look like a river boiling. Hopefully there will be porpoises and bait in the area. If that is the case you will probably hit some blufins
