    Sportfish 1,

This video was shot in Sept. 05 in Utah on an archery elk hunt. The Box came out to video my son's hunt. This dumb doe kept coming around and we had to have some fun. I am the one throwing pebbles at the doe. I missed her 3 times before I connected. I would like to think I was real stealthy at sneeking up on her but I rode up on a 4 wheeler while the Box and my son were in a truck looking at her in this corral. You can tell by my face we were laughing and she just stood there licking the ground.

There is a lot of humor in wildlife to enjoy and this was a great moment for that.

Utah has some nice bulls in their herd, did you guys conect with any while ou were there. I hunt Colorado myself, never had the opertunity to get to Utah for a hunt. The tags there are a draw like most of the western states aren't
    they ?

    Sportfish,
We had the best hunt I have ever been on. We only trophy hunt and as you said, these tags are almost once in a lifetime. My son wanted a bull over 370 and he did miss one with his bow that size. We also came close to opportunities on 5-6 more bulls in that class. He has to wait 5 years before he can put in again and it will probably take another 15 years to draw. He will be as old as me by then. LOL He killed a 194" gross, 180 1/8" net mule deer with his bow about 4 years ago and as much as we love deer hunting (that is our true passion) he would trade that deer for another hunt like this one and we came home empty. The hunt was that good and that fun.

Anytime you get a tag for Utah, deer, antelope, buffalo, elk, sheep, you have a guide if you need one. We love it.

Sounds like you seen some nice bulls while you were out there. Like I said before I hunt Colorado and the don't have many trophy bulls on the BLM land. I will try to download a picture of the biggest bull I ever got out there. The last time out 8 of us got 7 elk, 4 bulls and 3 cows. All the bulls were small 4 x 5 and mine was a 5 x 5. Nothing to brag about, but its fun to hunt them.
