GOOD GUYS WEAR WHITE
ONE OF THE MOST FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS TO ME WHEN GUESTS OR CHARTERS ARRIVE AT A RIG I AM FISHING ON IS : "WHY DO YOU WEAR WHITE GRUNDENS?" ...WHY WHITE? SOME PEOPLE LOOK AT ME LIKE I AM SOME KIND OF FREAKOID.....
THE MOST FREQUENT ANSWER I GIVE BACK IS: "WELL WHY DO YOU WEAR O-R-A-N-G-E?"
IS IT JUST A NORTH CAROLINA THING OR IS IT THAT ONLY GOOD GUYS ...I MEAN COOL GUYS WEAR ALL WHITE!!........
WHY WHITE YOU ASK? AS FOR ME.....I AM TRYING TO KEEP MY BODY TEMP AS COOL AS POSSIBLE BY WEARING WHITE AND I ALSO PREFER THE LIGHTWEIGHT SLICKER FABRIC FOR FULL RANGE OF MOBILITY......HELL IT'S HARD FOR ME TO EVEN BENDOVER AND PICK UP A #3 SWIVEL WITH THE LIGHT GEAR ON ....MUCHLESS WEARING 30 GAUGE RUBBER THAT ONE COULD SUB FOR A MEDIEVAL JOUSTING SUIT !
WINTER -SUMMER-SPRING OR FALL...I PREFER THE LIGHT WEIGHT WHITE.....THE COOLEST OF THEM ALL.
WHAT COLOR IS ON YOUR SUSPENDERS?

me llamo SUPER Dave
I'm all white when fishing, and green when duckin.
If I thought I could get away with white when duckin I'd wear them then too. The green ones are like wearing a damn straight jacket some days. Then try and have long legs and see how they fit. The bottom 4" of my pants stick out the bottom b/c I guess no one at grundens is over 6' tall. I don't want to trip over the damn things, but my ankles don't like being wet either.
I can't stand having thick layers of anything on. Even in the winter I'll have a number of thin layers to keep me warm. The thick stuff limits your mobility and IMO it won't keep you warmer than good old white.
If there's a spring or fall chill in the air you'll find white grundens on this fisherman.

I think Admin is going to let me have this space
i just peeled my white grundens off....had them on this morning at work. i find myself wearing them not just fishing, but at work, when cutting fish, washing the boat, etc, etc. best purchase ive made in a while. old standby green herkules are only getting use on the coldest, crappiest of days here lately.....
plus, the color white contrasts the best with splatter.

White bibs and pink boots-- or you can look like a man and wear olive drab
I choose to wear green simply because it serves double duty while duck hunting and I just don't like white pants, white boots, or white belts--- did that enough in the Navy.
Now, if I was in a store needing a new set of bibs and Whites were on sale, I guarandamtyou I'd buy the whities cause I ain't seen too many fashion police in the cockpits I venture in.

Yellow cordura nylon waterproof/windproof breathables from West Marine. Re inforced seat and knees. I wear these any time of year. Keeps that clammy feeling to a minimum when it balmy outside. Fleece underneath for the cold time of year. But I feel that someone can come up with a better system of suspender clips and adjustables for any of the bibs out there.
