Good deal or not?
Ok, I had to lay out some bucks for a new truck. I needed a monster to tow a monster and needed 4wd to drive on the beach. Here are the details:
Truck Sticker $46,759 (Loaded Chev LT1 crew cab with leather and Duramax Z71 etc,)
Got it for employee pricing at $41,000
Plus got $9,000 in rebates and dealer incentives and concession
Now we are talking a $32,000 truck.
My Yukon trade in was worth about $4,000 in pretty poor condition with dings and dents and 150K miles.
They gave me $8,000
So out of pocket I was $24,000 plus tax and tags.
Also got 5 free oil changes and the 25,000 mile service for free.
My question is good deal or not?????? I think good deal.

Yes, it sounds very good to me, but then again, these are trying times.

I think Admin is going to let me have this space
Sounds like you made out to me. Dealers are trying to move trucks like that with the price of gas/diesel, but it sounds like to me you got a killer deal.

You got a good deal there.

IMO one hell of a deal! What's the dealer name? and where?

IMO one hell of a deal!!!! I bought the same one last year GMC version Sticker $54K. After "negotiations" left with it @ $41K and I thought I did something.
Trust me you will be even happier the first time you drag your "monster" with it!

Thanks everyone, I thought it was a good deal. These are trying times and I hate making such a large purchase in the middle of a recession. After 3.5 hours of negotiating and 2coupons of the 3 the dealership had to give away I got a good deal. This is going to be shocking, but the dealership was Flow Chevrolet in Winston-Salem. I have never purchased a car there in my life b/c they have a reputation for being "high priced" but in this instance they were a pleasure to work with. There is no 0 percent financing though for the deal I got. Have to have cash or be willing to finance at 6% depending on credit. Mine is very good. I went in several days in a row and peeked at the board where they keep track of # of cars sold. I chose my day when they had sold 3 cars in three days. PS mine was a new 2008 (so last years model)

Good Deal!!!
You'll love that Duramax. I've got 33K (two years old) on mine it now and the mileage per gallon is getting better each month. I drove 230 miles the other day (not pulling my Robalo) and averaged 21.3, best ever. Good luck
