Unfortunately last night we lost “Frankie” our Silky Terrier. Frankie. As much as our children my wife and me plus our 3 labs was an important member of our family. He would have only been 3 years old on December 17th. We still are not sure exactly what happened he was fine when I got home and through dinner. Then about 8:00 I noticed he had thrown up so we watched him 11:00 he started having seizures so we took him to the emergency vet and about 3:00 am his body just gave out even with the treatment they were giving him. We are pretty sure he got into something, but we have tore the house and the yard apart and can’t find anything. With the rapid onset and the quick worsening of his condition the vet as well of us think he got some sort of toxin he just could not handle.
Frankie did nothing, but bring joy and entertainment to our family, boy could he hold his own with the 3 80 lbs labs. As a matter of fact Frankie an “Maxx” our yellow lab about his same age were running partners in every sense of the word.
Funny how he came to us; my wife wanted a dog for her because the labs always hang around with me. So she searched and searched and found the puppy she wanted, we were on the way to pick him up and stopped at a pet store to get supplies for a small dog. When she walked to the back and who did she see? Frankie. We took him called the guy and said we were not coming to look at his puppies.
Funny thing is I never liked small dogs and said I would never buy a “pet store” dog, but we got Frankie right then and there. I had always owned big dogs 90% of them were labs. It took “Frankie” about 2 minutes to win over our hearts and the hearts everyone he met. That dog had the biggest personality and heart of any dog I’ve ever known; I think that he thought he was a big dog. In a word Frankie was amazing.
Frankie will be terribly missed by us; I only hope that we brought him as much joy and happiness as he brought us.
Sorry for the ramble.
Here are a few pictures that show his personality and character. The 1st and 2nd is when we first got him and the 3rd is when we were camping this summer, the rest are just random pictures.
I can see it's dangerous for you, but if the government trusts me, maybe you could.

Sorry for the loss Ponce, and thanks for sharing a little bit of Frankie with us. He looked like he enjoyed you guys just as much as you enjoyed having him in your family.
Jeff, so sorry to hear about Frankie I hope he is running in the grass upstairs with my girl that went back in May. I know there will be better days ahead.
A wonderful tribute to a true little friend - there's nothing to be sorry for... Hopefully, you'll find in the future, that stories of him will bring happiness and help him live on. Best wishes to you and your family.
