Marty turned me on to #7 Matzuo a few yrs back. It is the heat. aboslutely the best wm hook I have found.

Bert the guac rig works best on a bally with a wide head. not neccessarily a dink bait. we consistantly troll them at 6.3 to 6.8 knots. 6.3 is the "tuned in" marlin speed on boat.

Bert, since Bill is in your neck of the woods, if he has a local supplier obviously that is more convient. If not, Joe Shutes in Atlantic Beach and Frisco Rod & Gun in Hatteras sells them. Both will ship to you.
I buy the 100 pack for $23 -$25 per box, and use these 7/O hooks for all kinds of stuff--- bailing dolphin, knotheads and general bottom bouncing.
I secend Bill--- best damn cheap hook I ever ever seen.
They make the J hook shown in the video as well as a very good dink circle hook.

i saw them in the Finest Kind catalog as well....i think they are even making them now with the lead molded around the shank, if you prefer that style.

for cheap hooks, the matzuo's cant be beat. their 10/0 wide gap circles are like a masterlock on a grouper lip.

Marty great video but i got a couple of questions.

1. is a dink bait the same as a pitch bait? or does it refer to the size of the hoo?

2. i see the hook is further forward then what i usually have been shown but i am guessing that if it is a pitch bait that is why.
