Frank.....I wear the Pelagic fingerless gloves. They seem to work fine on wire but I havnt used them on Braid. If nothing else get you some leather work gloves that fit tight and cut the fingers out at the second joint so you can feel things better.

Hey stress, if we're talking big fish and I believe we are, I use my welders gloves and cut the fingers off. I have put these to the test with a few large marker swords over the years and they have proven themselves. An old timer past down the idea to me. He used them for wiring giants off the cape back in the seventies and eighties. He also now only owns seven fingers, careful with #15 wire!!

pelagic and aftco both make great gloves in sizes up to xxl. I like pelagic for lighter applications, if you are going after the big boys the heaviest duty aftco's, i think they are wiremax, is really good.

the other suggestions work also, however if you are going to be doing a lot of work with braid, get full fingers. the braid will inevitably catch you in the first joint of your fingers and slice
