Gigging Light Help ???

Well, after a tough search, I finally found a skiff. Now the fun starts, I would like to pimp it out with some nice lights for flounder gigging. I don't want to go the generator route so I would like to stick to 12v. flourescent or LED's if possible. Anybody have any good leads on globes, 12v bulbs and fixtures?

We have used mine halogens for years, about the size of you little finger nail. Very bright and 2 of them will burn all night on a fully charged deep cycle battery. Look for one that will give you about 900 Lumens...

Thanks guys for the suggestions. Unfortunately I was to pick up the boat monday morning, that was until the sellers wife enjoyed a day on the water today and told her husband that he wasn't allowed to sell the boat .

Oh well. So, does anybody have a lead on a decent 17 to 19 ft skiff for sale used ??

Ckeckout Eastern NC Craigslist. You should be able to find dozens for sale. Hope you find one.

It seems as if I was begging for a while. I literally was driving to pick up three different skiffs that were sold out from under me, or the dreaded wife kaboosh. I finally hit pay dirt today, the search is over. I don't care if I ever look at Craigslist again as long as I am sucking air.

On a side note, the new skiff came with enough flounder gigging light parts to outfit two skiffs. Life is good indeed.
