Fri & Sat report
Fri- Went up north to chunk for BFT, arrived at the grounds around 6am. Wasn’t long until we had our first bite. These fish are eating squid down deep, lately I haven’t found any sand eels in their stomachs. Doesn’t mean much but 1-4 at 58 inches all on squid, and we were marking squid very think on the bottom.

Sat- Decided to troll this time and see if we could find some YFT. Again headed out around the 30 line, which wasn’t our first choice but we were having problems with the port engine couldn’t get her to exceed 1100rpm’s. 18kts to the deep and back wouldn’t leave much fishing time. We had a few short bites on ballys; small chicken dolphin. 1-3 on smaller YFT.

Nice report, they are killing them around the claw...heard a few were caught around the 19 on the troll...this is good news. Too bad about the motor problems,i know all to well about that.

Yea my bro was headed to the Balti and saw a school of BFT and was able to troll up a 150lber!! But everyone is so in love with the claw they are missing these oppertunities
