Nice. I haven't caught a pickerel since I was a boy in Maine. Used to love catching them. First fish I ever caught was one about 16 inches that I carried around for two days before the stench made my mom bazerk and thus she made me get rid of it.

Here in central NC we call 'em Jackfish or Jacks for short. I caught a bunch of them one day on Lake Mayo and gave them to a Mexican fellow that worked with me who loved for me to bring him crappie or bream. He wouldn't eat the pickeral though. He said they were too ugly!

We used to catch tons of them when I was growing up in Mn, some as big as 30-40 lbs. They are fun to catch.
