Fresh Meat!
Okay okay... Yes, I'm a total NOOB to y'all's neck of the internet. But that don't mean I ain't been around for a few years.
My primary forums have been the Florida Sportsman and Swordfishing Central websites. Some of you may have seen my fishin' posts and local weather reports there. I do most of my fishing from Boynton Beach to Port Everglades, Florida. My primary target is swordfish, with secondaries on deep-drop golden tiles, rosies, an barrelfish.
I just heard about this site yesterday, and on the advice of another SF member, decided to join blindly. In my limited views... it looks like y'all got a good information exchange and a healthy rivalry between some members. I like that!
As a peace offering, I'm giving 3 hand-made "smileys" to the forum. Based mostly on our daytime deep-drop swordfishing tactics. I created these just a few days ago. I assure you, these will be found nowhere else (until others steal 'em!). I'm a graphic artist, so if y'all have a need for anything... let me know via e-mail.

I hear y'all really lay-into folks that talk BS. Trust me, in my reports... I'll leave no room for BS. I tell it like it is. Good and Bad. And I usually underestimate fish weight. I prefer to hang 'em on a scale!
Hmmm... I'm at Weekend Warrior status? WTF? I'm a week-day warrior! hahaha
So, please give me the 5-cent tour... who's the WHOONBOX?

...they are based on personal experience!
Daytime swordfishing... The boat I fish on, we don't use electric reels. I've personally manually reeled-in approximately 110,000 feet of line in the past 4 months. We brought ONE sword to the boat from 1800ft down, but it shook loose at the boat. It lazily swam away about 10ft below the surface. I tried to run-it-over with the props... I was that frustrated.

Just curious... is there a time-limit on post edits? I often post, and edit, weather reports within the same thread. Those forecast reports only make sense if I can edit/update 'em more than a few minutes after the fact.

The time limit on post edits is 10 minutes
