Are you saying that it is all right to catch more of one kind of
fish than you can eat before it goes bad, than another. A 80 lbs. YFT is hard to eat in one week. Your quote, with the 4
exclamation marks, implied that the other poster was keeping to many fish. Just my observation.
p.s. I don't like frozen fish either, so I always give my
extra away to people less fortunate. Have a nice day.
Just seems odd to me that if you agree about frozen fish that you would go to my website and pick out a general statement about freezing fish and imply that that's what I'm saying about freezing tuna in this thread. We are talking about tuna.If you look back about what I said in this thread, IMO that it would be better to can it. I've had folks come back year after year to fish with me and say they still have tuna from two years ago in the freezer.6 months is about tops in the freezer!!! IMO..... So yes, I think they caught or better yet kept to much. That's all that I'm trying to say.

Guys Im not here to start trouble. I asked a simple question. If your not going to eat throw it back plain and simple. Thats all there is too it. I have eaten the stuff for breakefast with my eggs lunch as tuna salad dinner. For 3 days strait. Ill keep eating it till its gone I dont care. Where can you get fresh tuna in feb or march in new england. Not going to happen. All I wanted to know is if there was a better way to freez it is all. Lets get back on track. Thanks Will.

    Frozen in block Q's

Can you explain this method in a little more detail? I mean like do you lay the bags of water W/the tuna inside flat in the freezer? Does it matter if the vacuumed fish sinks to the bottom of the bag? What size/kind of bags are you using for steaks? Does the fish really not freeze all the way??

    Thanks!

WHAT YOU WANT TO DO HERE MOKARRAN IS TAKE THE TUNA...

THEN YOU WANT TO VACCUMM SEAL IT OR YOU CAN YOU CAN JUST PUT IT IN A SMALL SANDWICH BAGGY AND TAKE ALL THE AIR OUT.. THEN YOU WANT TO TAKE THE LITTLE BAGS AND PUT THEM INTO A LARGE 1 GALLON OR BIGGER ZIP LOCK BAG..

FILL THE BAG UP WITH WATER AND THROW THE BAGS OF TUNA LOINS OR STEAKS INTO THE WATER AND DIRECTLY INTO THE FREEZER. THE WATER WILL FREEZE UP ALL AROUND IT..

IT IS REALLY HARD TO BELIEVE BUT THE TUNA INSIDE STAYS SO SIMPLE AND PURE IT IS UNBELIEVABLE.. TRUST ME.. IT IS LIKE IS DOES NOT EVEN FREEZE THE DANG STUFF.. JUST OUTRIGHT DELICOUS.. I HAD TUNA FROM JULY LAST YEAR IN 2007 AND I ATE IT ON JANUARY 7TH OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT.. WAS STILL FREAKING GOOD..

I MEAN TUNA HAS A BASIC 6 MONTH FREEZE LIFE BUT IF YOU DO IT LIKE THIS I WILL ALMOST GUARANTEE 8-12 MONTHS!!
