Free Black Lab Puppies

My parents are rescuing eight 7-week old pups plus the mama from a guy in Atlantic who isn't taking care of them and who has let three puppies die already. They are not AKC registered, but the mama is a yellow lab and the daddy is a black lab. I would take one but my hands are full with my 7 month old lab. The mama is probably less than 2 years old and they are trying to get her a better home as well.

Feel free to pass my contact info on to anybody who might be interested, my parents are picking them up today and I am going to spend the weekend with them to help/play with the pups down in Atlantic.

12/23/2011 Update: All black lab puppies have been given away back in April 2011.

Just to clarify, they will not be 100% free as my parents are getting them up to date on their shots and all that mess and will need to be reimbursed for the cost. There will be an initial investment in the dogs to insure they are healthy and that you will not get tired of the puppy the first night it is whining in its crate.

Do you know how big mom and dad are? Size does matter and we are looking for small ones.

The mom is smaller than my 7mo old lab (60lbs now), I would guess mid to low fifties, I never saw the dad but was told he was probably around 65-75lbs. Not huge, not tiny. I thought a 60lb lab was big until my girl got that size, I can still carry her on my hip if need be. Will have a page up with photos soon, the pups went to the vet today and got their first round of shots and all checked out fine, mom has a torn ACL so she will be with my parents for a few weeks longer.
