Curious, why would somebody post this????? I don't understand???? For if you are not aware..... Box has worked for me for 10 years in the cockpit.....through good times and bad.....He is a 60 yr. old guy who is doing something he loves, that is working the deck, rigging baits, gaffing fish and having a great time with our clients. We strive to make everyone's trip aboard the Run Off a fun and enjoyable experience. Four days in a row isn't shit, I know.....when I used to work the deck years ago there would be stretches where we would role 40-65 days straight offshore....I personally did it then and could start doing it tomorrow if the opportunity was available. As far as "four straight", .....well as you know the economy is bad, actual charter fishing days per year are way down for many areas....In Morehead City right now, we are freaking blessed to be able to fish four in a row....thankful.....very thankful and so is BOX. If we were booked, it could be 100 in a row..... We could not do what we love without the support of our clients, we are fortunate to have an average of 90% repeat customers, with 10% new each season....which we are so thankful and proud of. I am not sure if you truely know the man you speak of. BOX would give you anything he had if you needed it, you or anybody else...sure he comes off a little "rugged" sometimes but hell we all do, especially me. Somebody steps on the black boat to fish,......they come to catch, learn and have a good time....That's what we provide. I don't know you, nor do I know your fishing history, nor do I know your age or for that matter where in the world you are...............I can tell you this.....I will put BOX up against anyone in the pit when it comes to his devotion for doing what he loves to do. You speak of "why he would show his rigging, why doesn't he hide it like a real mate"........ a real mate,...you have a lot to learn son.
Now I have always been the "elephant ears and clam lips" type of fellow, but I must admit, what you said sort of pissed me off........For those of you who know me and BOX, or have fished aboard the RUN OFF, I apologize for this ASS-OLE'S remarks. Thank you. Capt. Brian Harrington. Owner Run Off Sportfishing.
