Fluorocarbon Leader Line & Wind-on???

Is there a difference between FLUOROCARBON LEADER LINE and FLUOROCARBON WIND-ON LEADER LINE?

I was shopping eBay for some 60 & 80lb Fluorocarbon and saw it advertised differently and thought "oh crap, are there two different types of Fluorocarbon leaders"?????

What I want is wind on leaders, I've been using Seaguar (no complaints), any other suggestions?

Are you talking pre-made wind-on leaders,or just fluorocarbon leader to make your own?

Ya, I wanted to do it myself.

Tell me if I'm wrong here...

I have Penn 50's VSW's (no Chevy Vs Ford arguments, stay on topic, ) rigged w/ 80lb clear Ande Mono.

I wanted to add a 150 lb wind-on swivel and then 80-100 feet of fluorocarbon leader. Then add the flavor of the day lure...

Am I thinking along the right path?

That'll work fine for you. Don't be scared to go to a smaller swivel either. I personally like the small spro power swivels instead of the wind on swivels. If you notice on the wind on swivels, the edges on the inside aren't rounded. Has chafed through some main lines and leaders for me. That being said, Seaguar Fluoro is what I use. Honestly haven't ried any other brands. It's always done fine by me.

Good thought on the spro, thanks!

Leader weight for this spring in MHC, 60 or 80 lb?

I want to go 60, but I'm always afraid of the monster YF (that I have yet to catch or see), I keep hoping...

I personally like 80 or 100lb. But alot of guys go lighter. I'll downsize if it gets more bites, but if it ain't broke....don't fix it.

You're on the right path. but no need to use 100 ft of floro wind-on. 30-40 ft will do just fine & save some $$. 100 ft. won't hurt either, just little too much $$ for my pockets.

The problem with 100ft is you wont have an active swivel which will be a problem.

I missed the part of your post about 100 ft. of leader......WAY TOO MUCH. 20-30 feet is plenty.
