Flounders and Bull Drum
Haven't posted a report in a while, haven't seen the deep blue either with the storms and NE gale. River fishing really isn't my thing but I had to get some relief! Been slipping outta Dawsons Creek a couple days and landed close to 50 13in. flounders. Creek is full of peanut pogeys, 1 cast of the net and your set for the day. Caught a couple slot drum up the creek and 1 small speck on Gulp 3in. pogeys.
This evening I set out do do something I haven't done since I was 16 or 17, catch a old Drum. Messed around nearshore chasing pogeys for quite a while before I managed to get a hand full and a couple bluefish on top water plug. I'll be the first to admit I don't know alot about fishing the river and the hot spots but I get lucky sometimes. Only draw back to this report is the lack of pics, didn't figure to have any luck so I left it in the truck.
Slipped off to a shoal near DC and Oriental and set out a couple hundred yards from one of our local guides. 5 minutes after setting out 2 rigs one of them starts singing!!! quick 10min. fight and first bull in 20 yrs. rolls up 35-40lb. fish, set back out. Bam!!! Double hook up, 2 more to the boat same size 40ish or so. Give the wife a call to give her a report, she wishes she had came with me 30min. no bites, check bait good to go here we go again double hook up, one pulls off and a bigger fish pushing 50lb. to the boat. Last 2 baits out the fifth fish hits and really runs off, tighten the drag and put it to'em. 5 for 6 on the Drum, not bad for 1 hr. of fishin. Camera will make the next trip!! Capt. George B. moved into the spot when I pulled out, hope you guys had the same luck!

Crab mustard is good
Nice report Roger. Glad you got in touch with your river side
Lee, we might need to have a little Oyster roast down that way while you are down this winter. Foul Hook'd and Killintime live right beside each other, might be a good location for a party!!
