Fishing with Horace........

Capt. Jim, FirstMate Seth & FishStalker Mark.......
The Crew meets down at the dock at 5:30 am, the Cat is covered with a thin layer of ice & the Challenge is to be on the water sometime today. Switch out anchors, bring on gear & put on winter clothing - last count Mark had 5 layers without his rain gear. If he was to fall overboard, I'm sure he would be able to kick float home, with the aide of his constant special supply of chocolate covered Espresso beans - the man's wired & should be re-named FishTalker. Horace brings a supply of warm breakfast biscuits enough for a small Army, his 2 Electric Mates & a 12 volt, heavy duty, cranking battery - just in case the Cat's twins don't start, yeah right! It's going to be a long day.

We make it out Masonboro headed to a secret spot 45 miles out, the ride is uneventfull - Capt Jim at the helm, Seth's asleep & FishTalker Mark is having a conversation with him or one of his many imaginary friends. It's going to be a strange day.

Get to the first waypoint, mark lot's of fish, start out drifting & jigging - Marks's first drop & he loses his brand new, shiny, high dollar Butterfly Jig to a King. Seth drops down some dead bait & brings in his first of many fish, as usual - rightfully named, The FisrtMate. Horace drops down 24oz, starts up his ElectricMate & cranks in the first of many Beeliners, it's going to be a good day.

Between the personal insults, the tasteless jokes & the constant one liners.
It turned out to be a pretty good day, filled with good laughs......... & we did manage a catch few good fish........both on bait & jigs. Come to think of it, it was an excellent day.

Nice catch Billy and crew. I can only imagine the shenanigans that went on that cat boat yesterday. You really had an all star crew!
Fishing is good, catching even better. Catching with a good bunch of friends is the best.
