Fishing the creek 7-12-11

Got to the landing as a couple was taking out the water. Talked to them for a few minutes and before we could leave the woman handed me a penny she picked up on heads right there at the landing. Said it would bring me good luck. Well right off the rip I let the cooler lid leave the boat and we had to chase it down to get it back. Then BeagleMan lets a fish take one of his rods. Not his favorite, but it did have a good reel on it. I threw that penny in the river. Had to get it out the boat. I finished the day with out a single fish landed. BeagleMan and the BeagleBoy did catch enough for us to eat.
