    Fishing boots

I need some new footwear for fishing this winter. What are some quality fishing boots that are gonna keep me dry and somewhat warm?

I use those white Servus boots, and put some Dr. Scholls in them and they are as cumfy as can be Although they may not be great for winter fishing because they are not insulated. I have heard the brown ones are much better for winter fishing, but I'm not sure of the name. I'm sure someone will know. I believe those are the ones they wear on Deadliest Catch?

I use those Extra Tuff bots they are brown and tan. they are the ones they wear on that Deadlyest catch show for fishing in the extreme cold. They are very warm but kinda heavy.

    Chip,

i just bought a pair of uninsulated Xtratuf's. they say the insulated models will roast your feet in all but the coldest weather. i just got a size bigger to accomodate extra socks. how cold does it really ever get in NC, you know?

i was tired of hurting for days after fishing because of sub-par boots. my LLBeans were great but more than a couple inches of water on the deck and you were wet. i have worn my new Xtratufs offshore three times so far, and i like them so much i have been wearing them just about every day at work on the boat. well worth the money. only thing is there arent any Xtratuf dealers around town here so you have to order. i suggest ordering from Mike Keller's. or you might be able to get them thru the shop???

    Matt,
Those were the ones I was thinking about getting but just wanted to hear an opinion on 'em before I spent the $. I found them a few places online.

    Chip,
Slip Sliding loves his Gill's and I am on my 8th season with my LaCrosse rubbers. IMO nothing comes close to the comfort of the LaCrosse rubber boots.

I like my Rugged Sharks. They've served me well so far.

I just received a pair of sebago Marine Squall. I tried them on a couple trip already and they kept my feet dry and very warm. If you choose these go up a size though

Xtratuffs are nice, but need some help from Dr. Scholl.

I love my muck boots from muckboots.com

I have the cikanas for cold weather fishing and duck hunting in the boat, but a taller version might be nice too. I wore mine on the decks of the Excel in SD this June and they stayed somewhat dry as long as I didn't get too close to the bait tank overflow.
