Stoped in Capt Joe Shutes tackle shop today just to say hello, while I was in the area. I won't tell you that he and I are "best bud's" or how nice a guy he is, but I have known who this guy is for some time now. I have been in his store numerous times and have had the oportunity to sit beside him during NMFS meetings. What I can tell you is that he is "no fluff", tells it like it is and doesn't mind helping fellow fishermen out. His store is full of all the "eye candy" you can carry out in the back of a pick-up. I have over heard him talking with folks that don't know the butt end from the tip of a rod. He didn't down talk them, he explained. You get the sense of being in a "old town" hardware store in there, he can explain every piece and how to make it work. In this day of mega "one stop" tackle stores, it's good to know that some haven't gone that route. Give this guy a shout next time you find yourself in need. I have no doubt you'll walk away happy. Great store,great advice,Damn good man spent many a day in there buying stuff and getting info.As said above he tells the truth and sells you what you need,not a bunch of crap you don't need just cause it looks pretty. If he don't have you don't need it...
