    what can i say

Holy crap this is great stuff, thanks guys. I don't suppose it would but would it make any difference if it was a wahoo that has just demolished your blue white ilander with ballyhoo and is now screaming out of there at 40 knots.

Jigging the other lines is a fantastic idea, i love that.

If that Wahoo hits you and makes his first run, be prepared to throttle up as a lot of times he will turn and make his second run right towards your boat.

If you don't keep him tight, he will run right over your line, slice right thru and your $20 Ilander will be heading to the deep....

Well chances are with that many bites at one time your fishing with Harrington, so the screaming bridge pole is a straight 50 loaded with braid. Capt will put down to the pit when he feels it is neccesary and you can handle what just happened in his world. Boat is still at speed........

Now back to the rigger that popped out, immediately dump it till you think "man I may need to engage here and crank". When you think this let it eat for a few more seconds then crank like hell, nothing there then try again. Be sure and leave all rods in the rod holders until you are sure that they are securely hooked up. Rod out of the holder upon strike = loss of control and lost fish!!!

Probably not a bad idea to have someone jig the long riggers as soon as the left short clip popped. All eyes on the spread here as usual.

No use in jiggin the short lines unless they are braid. But on the shorts probably not. And at 6 knots, 1/4 oz witch and 1/8 egg and med ballyhoo way to much stretch for jiggin. After repeating this at least 2 times and still nobody home? Slide the rigger clip down with one hand while retrieving the bait with another. All eyes still on the spread. You did reach over and grab another bait for the left short before you did all this right? No down time here always move and be deliberate and fluid.

After the first set of dropbacks and crank. Get someone else on that bridge pole that Capt B is now insisting that you take over since half the spool is gone. Because he is now smiling and cussing the ones that did not bite and is getting ready to turn on top of the mark because he is headed back over the bite.

Lay the gaff on the gunnel and take it hand over hand back on the reel. Aim, gaff the fish and put in the box. Have a bait ready to re rig the bridge pole go ahead and dump it and pass back up.

All other crew members choose one rod and keep an eye on it because you are over the bite again and turning. Probably getting ready to pick up 2 on the inside long rigger and short rigger that are deeper than rest and is now rising back up to the spread. Watch that flat line too.
