We have a plaque in our den that reads.
"There are two lasting gifts that we can give our children. The first is roots. The other is wings"
He will be fine. He has good parents, a head on his shoulders and a large support group in Wilmington.
    Let him fly.

    Thumbs up Oh no!

My daughter is finishing Her first year there! She has decided to stay thru the summer and "work" there. She loves it She lives in WB and has been seeing a local boy with a great family and long time WB history. They treat Her like Family. So far she has been doing alot of fishing (never with Me!) and has started duck hunting ! (she hated Me for it!). GO FIGURE

Dad went there, I went there (still live here), little sister is finishing her first year.

I remember one reading day (the day off before exams) we were out in the stream filling the boxes with mahi and a few wahoos and got a good laugh at the thought of my friends (and older brother) at UNC spending their reading day on campus in Chapel Hill.

Every time I went surfing (after class of course) I would look at my buddies and say "This is where we go to school." I had my 17' Jones Brothers in my dorm parking lot freshman year, talk about taking land clamming to the next level...

Reading days, holidays, weekends, I even skipped class just to go fishing with my now-husband & -FIL (they are Local). I rarely went home! It didn't get much better!!! What do those guys see in NCSU & UNC Chapel Hill - lol.
