    First confirmed MHC Bluefin

I talked to a customer of mine today at a DMF meeting. Yesterday he was fishing offshore of the Atlas Tanker on a temperature change trying for wahoo when a estimated 200-250 lb bluefin ate the long line. They worked on the fish or a good while and managed to get the tuna to the side of the boat 3 times before the leader connection failed. They were fishing 80 lb topshot on a 50 wide. Hopefully this is just one of many that are going to be showing up.

Stocked up and already tying. I also have a new 5 3/4 oz size head this year for those that want to get a little deeper.

Good news here. The inshore side of things looked "right" this past weekend. All that was missing was the smell of fresh slicks and busting giants.

Did I hear today the Run Off had one? Radio was real scratchy, I was in the inlet catching trout, blues, and reds like crazy. Arms are worn out right now, heading off tomorrow to do some bottom bouncing. Groupagroupagroupa....

I will confess, I killed it. It was early yesterday morning. It was right at grey light. All 91" of him. Fat too! Boat name was "Short Bus".

Fishing solo at falls lake. Thought I could kill 2 birds with 1 stone while scouting divers in the big part of the lake. Ain't now way I am gonna reveal the exact location though.

He hit an all green ilander rigged with a hickory shad, 7691 11/0 rigged to 200 lb. flouro on a 50 stand up, it was a shallow planer release bite.

Should have seen the looks I got with a dead giant iced down in the back of the truck on Hwy 70 east heading to the market.

Sorry, I could not resist here.
