Last week a few Blue bombers were snagged outta va beach. So yesterday with a weather window we took our shot.On board was Scott one of the regular crew and Ben and Allison who work at the marina.Ben had been offshore once and this was Allison's first.Weather was cold but no wind and the water was flat we like this go fast!
Lines in by 5:30 we worked and worked but no love. Not only us but no one had hooked up.Well around 9:30 we decided to head east to the warm water banged around a few hour's and it was looking like we were going to be zero's this day(Really bugged me with the first timers onboard especially braving the cold without a complaint).
At 1:30 a freind of ours was setting up a sword drift and started dropping lines and YF's started boilind all around him.He gave us a call 6 miles and 10 minutes later we dropped the spread on um hooked up on one then another. The second got off almost immediatly but the first one's sentence wasn't gettin commuted by the govner.
With a little help Allison battled the sashimi for about 20 minutes and Scott sunk the gaff.So in the final hour we were hero's and I was glad we always work hard out there but when you have a first timer you want them to get something.
Allisons first Tuna!!
