So ... I bought my boat(2002 Contender 31) two years ago from a friend. I have never been more excited about any one moment in my life with the exception of the birth of my children. The boat arrived from Cape Cod and... it began:
I pulled all the old tangled wiring, removed all the old electronics, repaired some gel-coat booboos, removed the old name, buffed her out to a "like new" shine. Replaced all the electronics, transducer, pumps. Put in new LED lighting, Spot light, outrigger hardware, clips, halyards. Put in new rod holders, got new canvas, new anchor, new tri-axle trailer. Got the motors completely worked over ... new water pumps, impellers, etc. I mean ... I got her right. Runs like a dream, raises fish and everything is right ... exactly how I want her.
And now ..... I have to sell herI held on as long as I could but with zero work, comes zero income. After sitting down with the wife today and looking at our total picture, undeniably, a lot of expenses come directly from the boat.
So ... keep an eye on the For Sale forum for details and pics and some nice gear as well. If you know anyone who may want a great deal on an amazing boat, please pm me and let me know.

ago. Selling my boat was the first thing on my mind. I have not had to do it yet. But trust me I will get rid of it in a heartbeat if things continue to get worse. There will always be other boats that are newer and more advanced when the income starts back up and the economy turns around. All you folks here that buy by witches my boat thanks you every month!
