Thanks Ya'll. I know now what it means to climb the ladder on a charter boat. This first weekend was an eye opener. I hardly got any sleep the night before. Now I am responsible for the crew and the boat, plus trying to put meat in the box. We didn't have a ball busting day but from what I can tell we were average for the weekend. Jason and I are a team, we took the captains course together, we have been fishing together for the last 3 yrs and what I don't have he does. We both love fishing and being a part of folks catching fish and having a good time . Their is nothing more rewarding to hear than "This is the biggest fish I have ever caught in my life" as a mate or Capt. Jason was great in the pit, as I knew he would be. The folks were happy when we got back to the dock and that's all that matters.

Love him or hate him, I met Marty 9 yrs ago. He was giving a FREE RIGGING seminar along with the beast. I watched leaned and listened. I asked a couple questions, the beast was there, said you've got it.

I owe my time on the water and getting my start to one guy who had more confidence in me than I did, thanks Bro!

Nice job guys. Sounds like Capt. Rick did a great job putting you guys on the fish. I got a feeling there will be numerous good reports coming from this boat in the future.
