    Feb 21 Ocracoke report

Everyone was heading up to the east to the 300's for bluefin so we decided to head the other way to see what we could find. We found current, lots of it 3+knots Water was ~68-69 degrees with an occasional 70 thrown in to the mix. Not much happening for us. A couple of albies on the troll and a 30lb hoo. We decided to move back in a few miles and do some jigging. The AJ's were hungry as well as the albies. We each caught a few and then it was BSB time. Ran back inshore and the ocean went slick calm. Picked out a nice catch of bass. Not a bad day but we had hoped for more on the troll. Sounded like the bluefin bite was really good early for trolling and jigging around the 350. Can't get the pics to work. Will keep trying. Got it I think.

Yep, that's her. Only felt a few albies yesterday but she has taken down a few hoos on the last few trips prior to this one.

Nice looking fish man, good to see fishing reports from northern SOBX .

I couldn't help to notice the cool fish eye lens your using to take photos of those nice looking fish.

Wondering if you could share with us what kind of camera set up your using. Looks really cool. Thanks for the pics!

The camera is a GoPro HD inside a waterproof housing. It takes still shots and but also video from 720 to HD quality. Had it about a month now and I am pretty pleased. It works great as a head mount(fits like a headlamp) and with the wide angle view in video, you can see the whole cockpit. The one down side is no zoom so during our sailfishing trip to Islamorada, I could not zoom out for better pics of the sails jumping. Will try to keep the reports coming from the island.
