elusive wahoos, hungry bottom critters

Went out with rockhound, stormtrooper, eric and kevin. The wahoos just had our number. We had countless knockdowns and just couldn't keep them hooked. Finally we get a hook in one and it nearly spooled our 25. Thought we had a giant one, turned out to be foul hooked, about 35 lbs. Caught one more that completely swallowed a 3 oz JAG, couldn't see any of it. On our way in we decided to stop at one spot we ran over in 110 ft. In 1 1/2 hrs, ended up with a bunch of big reds, three scamps, 9 jumbo beeliners, some triggers and best of all, a very respectable hog. The three people jigging worked the two baiters on the other side of the boat...... We also had two kitty mitchells on the jig. Made up for an almost frustrating day of trolling.

That big scamp is as good as I've seen this year. Did you get a weight on that fish?

You guys are a pice of work now... were the "Triggers" on the Jig? I likes it!

Capt.Lee all but one of the Triggers came on the jig and they were fired up too.I'm still excited about the Hog on the jig definitly ready to go back out there.
