Are there any head boats running long range trips out of the Carolinas? Or multi day bottom / troll trips?

Best Catch: The next bite on a jig.
I wish. Overnighters on the head boats are about as good as it gets, but that is basically for small groundfish, not pelagics.

A 4 or 5 day deal that started in Wilmington and worked up off Oregon Inlet would be a cool trip. Troll your way up and work the inshore bottoms on the way back to stay inside the tide.

what is long range? We went on the rudee angler and we went about 70-75 miles over nighter, caught three swords and a pile of tiles and seabass and bluefish, one grouper, no tuna. That was called the "tuna chunkin trip." we chunked all night but no tuna, this was mid november

Seems like it would be a money maker for a large boat holding 20 or more.......I would pay ,we have the fish, just hard for littler boats to get to em and stay onem.More people would make the affordability .Just saying

West coast style 3 to 16 day trips. Imagin the possibilities, up and down the east coast and WAY offshore . Where do I send the deposit check .

Boat: several
Home Port: Falmouth, MA
Best Catch: 800# Giant Bluefin
Occupation: Freelance Captain/Mate
There are several operations in the NE area:
Helen H Hyannis MA
Sunbeam Fleet CT
Seven B's and Frances Fleet Point Judith RI

Having worked for Frank Blount aboard the Frances Fleet I say with confidence that Frank, his captains, and crew are professionals and very fishy individuals.

All the boats mentioned do well.
