Dude falls overboard while releaseing a thresher

Some people are just lucky enough they don't get hurt.

Nick, He's lucky That tail missed, they can generate some power with them things. Just shows how quick things can go wrong you watch his feet slide out from under him as he lifts the thresher.

Holy crap!!! Lucky he didn't get hooked or tangled in the line or a wack from it's tail. That's about as good as a bad situation could go.

It is unlikely that a pup thresher that size could do serious damage with his tail while being released that way. A bite from its small, little teeth and mouth was also unlikely. The most impressive part of the video to me was, as Bisquit said, what a sport the guy was...he took an embarrassing situation in stride and with good humor.

Thresher pups are a blast and a half on light tackle, with some really amazing runs and jumps. Most are released. As many as a dozen or more can be caught in one day by those who know the where and how...great small boat action on fish up to about a hundred pounds!
