To have a good spot on the lake the boys decided to camp out as there was a bunch of boats out there and they wanted to keep a good spot! Talk of duckaholics, it made me even feel better when I woke up in my warm bed and the sleet was falling horizontally...
The goal was to end the season with a canvas and they dropped two but the Drake dove never to come back up.
They got a handfull of ringo's and ruddies and even though conditions were cold and wet they seem to forget that pretty fast!!!
They end up the season with 16 waterfowl species and lots of new places to hunt + one picture before the camera died... (will the next one be coming out of the allowance??)

There are advantages to having kids old enough to drive - You get to keep the bunk warm. Your boys are certainly hardcore

Is that a duck locked up on the left side of the pic?....looks like a little seaduck coming by at about 60 mph judging from the blur. Congrats to the boys on a fine season.....you are doing a great job raising them right.

Oh to be young. It is oso nice to see that there are young ones that can do that as my days for spending nights on a blind are long gone.

Congrats to the boys for a good season, maybe next year we will get to hunt together...

Sounds likethe boys had a great season. Funny thing about duck hunting is the days that you want to stay under the covers warm and dry are the days you need to be out freezing your butt off.

I think I told you about the freezing icy day I was hunting and my Benelli SBE slid of the boat into the river. Lucky for me I had a buddy who dives recover it a couple of days later no worse for wear. I had already bought the replacement, thinking it was gone forever. It's now my $1200 back up.

Lee, they sure would have loved to hunt with you, it's just a pity we're so far or always out of time! Next season for sure!

Nice! Sixteen species...we didn't kill sixteen ducks all season, much less sixteen species! Great job men!
