Sit down Shut up And fish
If you suffer as I do with Plantar Faciatas (which is unbelievably painful). The foot mapping orthotics will help (my number is CF 330) . If the problem is severe you must heal the tears in the tendon first. I have found that most orthotic's are not firm enough to prevent the tears from opening at the first step in the morning. Buy a pair of Spenco orthotics they are about $35.00. They are extremely hard. They do not flex. keep your shoes next to your bed with these inserts in them. As soon as you get up put your feet into the shoes with the inserts. Keep wearing them for about 4 weeks then, this will allow the tears to heal. Then go to the Dr.Scholls. Which are softer and have more flex than the Spenco's. As comfortable as they are the Sperry's do not offer enough support. Especially if you are on your feet 12 hours a day on a hard deck.

As a person that basicly walks and runs for a living, I reccomend moving up a size in shoe and adding two inserts. Use a thick insert like sorbothane and then a thin one under it. A lot of the store brand orthotics will fit under the thick one giving you support and absorbing shock. Sorbothane is very thick and doesn't retain water. Spenco inserts are great and they don't absorb water to much either.
