Downrigger placement question........

Thanks to all......will place it in the rear rod holder & pointed out, parallel to the hull, away from the props. May be using it on a buddy's boat, so I want to keep rod holder mounting.

Tried to do some unconventional thinking, but experience & wisdom dictates that I follow the norm.........so much for thinking outside the box..........ICM

You can run it there all you want, you just have to make right hand turns. Otherwise major cluster because of motors. Teasers only there no planners. If it trips while in a slight left turn or a fish is wanting to run from starboard to port you're clustered again.
